Privacy notice

This notice explains what personal information Yorkshire Silver Solution collects through yorkshiresilversolution.com and how we use it. Last updated 22 October 2026.

What we collect

• Orders: your name, email, phone number (if you give it), delivery address and what you bought. Card payments are handled by Stripe, and we never see your full card details.
• Enquiries: the name, email, phone number and message you send through our forms, plus the contents of your cart if you send an order enquiry.
• Technical data: your IP address and browser type, kept briefly to prevent spam and abuse of our forms.

How we use it

We use your information to process and deliver orders, reply to enquiries, and keep records we're legally required to keep, such as for tax. We rely on performing a contract with you, our legitimate interest in answering enquiries and preventing abuse, and our legal obligations. We don't sell your information and we don't send marketing emails unless you've asked us to.

Who we share it with

We share it only with the services needed to run the shop: Stripe (payments), Royal Mail (delivery), and our web hosting and email providers. Stripe processes your data under its own privacy policy.

Cookies and storage

We don't use advertising or analytics cookies. Your cart is kept in your own browser's local storage so it's still there when you come back. Stripe sets its own cookies on its checkout page to process payments securely and prevent fraud.

How long we keep it

Order records are kept for six years for tax purposes. Enquiries that don't lead to an order are deleted after 24 months. Anti-spam data is kept for no more than 30 days.

Your rights

You can ask for a copy of your information, or ask us to correct or delete it, by emailing [email protected]. If you're unhappy with how we've handled your data you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
